Clearly, video games like Fallout 3 and other post-apocalyptic venues are not enough as a new MMO called Fallen Earth is about to hit the market.
I am not certain if this is the first post-apocalyptic MMO to hit the field, but I believe that the post apocalyptic genre has the potential to be the most imaginative.

I can imagine that all the developers of Fallen Earth Gold are scampering like crazy to make players a realistic landscape of what the world would look like after the buttons are pushed.
Then again, is that what happened in Fallen Earth? According to the Press Release, a disease started in Asia that was nicknamed the Shiva Virus. Thousands were dying, and Fallen Earth Gold, from out of nowhere, the release says: then the nukes started going off. What?!

What is this, The Road, by Cormac McCarthy? No, you can’t have an apocalypse without a sufficiently written backstory, Fallen Earth!
Or maybe you can, but whatever the case, don’t just start some backstory without completing it. Perhaps the player will find out how the world ends in the course of the game. I don’t really think that I have seen that in an Fallen Earth Gold MMO game before. That could be interesting.
As it is, I have included a trailer that discusses some of the backstory and how the last ember of civilization assembled at Hoover Dam. I’m guessing that every character starts out there, and Fallen Earth Chips I would imagine that the first stage of this game takes place around the Grand Canyon area.

Hopefully, the player can go to bombed-out areas nearby like Las Vegas, Reno, or maybe even Los Angeles! I’m certain that you see the potential here of a virtual landscape that is just like the real world, but destroyed.

Then again, many cities that you see in Fallen Earth Chips MMO games are just giant boxes of buildings with minimal traffic. At least I can understand the lack of traffic in this game.

Champions Online announced that
Posted July 19, 2011 by elsie

Following Senior Staff Writer Chris Tom’s editorial about Champions Online’s big change, Executive Producer Shannon "Poz" Posniewski reached out to talk a little bit more about this soon-to-be free-to-play MMO.

About a month ago, Champions Online announced that they would be making the shift to free-to-play. After the dust had settled and the details became clear, I felt that this really wasn’t Champions Online going "free-to-play," rather, it felt as though Cryptic just wanted to introduce an endless free trial to their game. In my editorial, the problem I pointed to was the fact that it seemed as though Silver players (as in all non-subscribers, regardless of how much they’ve spent on microtransactions) would never be able to play with the same freedom as subscribers, and this struck me as a little bit odd.

There are always, however, opinions to be found for every side. We decided to sit down with Champions Online Executive Producer Shannon "Poz" Posniewski to get the real details on the major decisions made with Champions Online Gold and why Cryptic feels that players should have nothing to fear when it comes to Archetypes and more. Read on!

ZAM: Hello there and thank you for taking the time to talk a little bit more about Champions Online going free-to-play!

Posniewski: Hi. It’s my pleasure.

ZAM: I recall an interview Jack Emmert (Cryptic’s COO) had with Eurogamer almost two weeks ago, where he said that the free-to-play aspect of an MMORPG is really a way of getting players to sample the game without needing to commit to any subscription fee, like an endless free trial. Would you say that this is the view that Cryptic is taking with Champions Online?

Posniewski: I’d say that’s one of several reasons why we decided to take Champions Online Gold free-to-play. We certainly like subscriptions, and we want players to keep subscribing. Subscriptions provide a predictable income, which makes running a game studio easier! When setting Champions up for free-to-play, we made sure that there were good reasons to subscribe.

On the other hand, the reality is that some people don’t like subscriptions or just want to dabble and would rather not commit to a full subscription. We want those people to be able to come in and have a great time too. We’ve reserved for subscribers some advanced features that continuing players will like. However, anyone can play Champions Online Gold, level up all the way and adventure in all the zones-for free.

ZAM: A huge decision made was recently to reintroduce lifetime subscriptions to Champions Online for $299. What was the catalyst for this kind of change? Was it player feedback, or were you planning to reintroduce lifetime subs well before you announced the F2P shift?

Posniewski: We knew we wanted to reintroduce lifetime subscriptions for a while, but we also knew that going free-to-play was a strong possibility. We didn’t want to put them on sale and a few months later announce free-to-play; we felt that would be unfair. Once we announced free-to-play, players kept asking for it so we brought it back.

ZAM: It’s been noted that PvP in Champions Gold will be split between the two tiers of Gold players and Silver players, with Gold PvP allowing free-form built champions to compete, while Silver PvP will only allow archetypes to play. Given that Silver level PvP will probably be a lot more active than Gold (since there will be tons of players who want to check out CO’s free-to-play option), are there any plans to let Gold players participate in Silver level PvP, outside of creating a brand new archetype character? Can a Gold player, for example, retcon (respec) his or her champion to an archetype to enjoy some PvP, and then retcon back to his free-form power build to do some PvE?

Posniewski: Though the exact details haven’t been decided yet, we do plan on letting players switch their free-form heroes to Archetypes and back again.

ZAM: With Champions Gold going free-to-play, does this mean that we’ll see more smaller adventure pack releases as opposed to large-scale expansion packs? Will we be seeing new powers in the next year or so?

Posniewski: We will definitely be doing more Adventure Packs. Players like them and they are fun to build! There will also definitely be new powers over the next year (beyond the powers that we’re adding for the free-to-play release). We also have plans for an expansion larger than an Adventure Pack, but it’s too early to talk about at this point. (Its size will likely be driven by how successful the free-to-play update is.)

The game Experience introduction
Posted July 18, 2011 by Cheryl
New characters are considered to be “young‿ and have had very little experience in the world. By vanquishing monsters and completing quests, your character grows (meaning, gains experience).

As you kill monsters and complete tasks and quests, you may be awarded a certain amount of experience (some quests will only include an item reward, though most include either an XP award, or DAOC Platinum). The experience is reflected in the two blue bars in the target panel. The topmost of the two bars is segmented into 10 bubbles. Each bubble represents 10% of your total experience for that level. When all 10 bubbles (100%) fill up, you will gain a level, and the bar will clear and begin again. When the non-segmented blue bar fills, you will fill one bubble.

With each level, your character will gain more health and DAOC Platinum. You will also gain points in your primary, secondary and tertiary attributes, and you will be awarded specialization points (based on your character class). These skill points are used to specialize in the various skills your character has available to it. You may also receive new abilities when you level, such as the ability to wear a different type of armor, evade, or parry.

Each time you level, you will get less DAOC Platinumfrom the monsters you fought the previous level. They will be easier to kill, but will be worth less, relative to your current level. If a monster cons gray to you, you will gain no experience from it at all. The ideal monster is going to be blue or possibly yellow, depending on your equipment and skills, and it’s weaknesses and behavior. The game is designed so that the lower levels go by fairly quickly; but after that your progress may slow down, so that the higher you go, the longer it takes to reach the next level. Just as someone new to a skill absorbs a lot of DAOC Plat very quickly, someone with a great deal of experience has less to learn. You will also notice that for some classes you can level very quickly in an effective group, since you’ll be able to fight much tougher enemies then you could while solo.

Beginning at level 40, you will receive one half of your normal specialization points when you reach the half-way mark in the level with DAOC Plat(5 bubbles). This is intended to foster a feeling of advancement through the hardest levels of the game, where levels can be quite slow.

The maximum level in Dark Age of Camelot is level 50. While you can still gain experience beyond level 50, it has no effect on your character.

You can obtain trading skills and of course you can play for releasing stress as the music in the game gives you a relaxing mood and pleasant to your eyes. And the players ranking makes you feel more Scions of Fate Gold to play and be one of the top in SOF. Breadth of gameplay options and overall volume of content both weigh heavily into this score. This game is known as comic MMORPG and avaible for all ages. And all the unique features are mostly all mention above, if you want to find more Scions of Fate Gold on the unique features explore it! and let your adventure begins!

Parts of this review can be seen on Game! Magazine Philippines March 2007 issue. The article is still of course made by me but the article is more of a preview rather than a review.

Martial Arts always fascinates many people. With those Scions of Fate Gold but beautiful moves, nobody can deny the magnificence of it. Magic is also an amazing phenomenon that still leaves spectators in awe. What if we mix these two on an Online game? You’ll get Scions of Fate or Yulgang Online (in Asia). But wait, there’s more. Not only will you get Magic and Martial Arts but also Comical Comedy in one game. This game appeals to the youth and adults alike. Developed in China by MGame, this multi awarded game has captured the online gamers of Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam with over 70 Million registered players. And now, as it opens it doors to the world with its English version, it is safe to assume that the initial numbers will rise sof gold.

In comparison to other games, it has striking similarity with Fly For Fun and R.O.S.E Online. The gameplay is almost the same with common MMORPGs, point-and-click. The growth is a bit similar to Risk You Life but with Scions of Fate Gold difference from the ability system. The Ability system will be explained later on.

A Comical MMORPG
This is a comic MMORPG, so expect the characters to be well comical. If you’re looking for some serious action then please by all means choose another game. This game is categorized as part MMORPG and part Casual. Most of the players here are most likely to be young ones because of the uncomplicated feature of the sof gold. From the point of logging in, expect a wonderful and colorful fantasy world filled with giggling men and kiddie warriors.
