Finding just the right artist to capture such a special time for us was so important to us! Kate Webber, our wedding photographer was a dream come true! Initially, I had hesitations about having a photographer from the U.S. come to Mexico with us because we didn’t even have family coming, but it was THE best decision! Kate is so incredibly sweet, not to mention astonishingly talented! She was like a bridesmaid to me (I’m so grateful) and her photographs continue to blow us away! She captured the textures, warmth, colors, and beauty of Cuixmala and the tenderness and joy of our wedding perfectly.handbags

Maria, the Public Relations Manager at Cuixmala, handled the coordination for the flowers and other on-site details since we did not have a coordinator. I really trusted that they would be wonderful. The staff at Cuixmala, especially Maria, could not have done more for us. They tended to every detail and made our wedding extraordinary!prom dresses

I chose to wear a dress that had a perfectly simple, timeless, destination wedding elegance. Milton’s light gray suit and black tie, also carried through his clean, modern but classic style and fit in appropriately with the location. evening dresses

It’s hard to even pick out the best moment of the day. It really was magical. The very best moments though were our ceremony and the moments just after. The joy in promising forever to each other and celebrating our union is just unspeakable joy! The second best moment was when Milton walked in to see me in my dress—the look in his eyes…I just knew that he was full of amazing love for me! wedding dresses

We also had a friend of mine from orienteering do our cake. We gave her some samples of our wedding stationery and a rough design, and she did a great job to create a really simple, elegant (and delicious) cake. We did a few things for the wedding ourselves too. Tim designed all our stationery, which we had printed on beautiful thick card with a gorgeous caramel-gold spot colour ink. As favors, we gave each guest a corkscrew (fitting for the winery setting), which doubled as a place tag. cheap handbags

We also did all the reception flowers ourselves, and ended up sourcing flowers for the florist for the bouquets too! I’d had my mind set on using cream proteas. However, we had a fairly warm summer here, and the plants were all finishing blooming a lot earlier than usual. So it was a real mission: the word went out everywhere – my grandma had all her flower society friends on the case, and my Dad, who sometimes does a guest spot on a talkback radio show, even put out a call on the radio for cream proteas for us! We ended up with just enough for the bouquets, but not the reception, so instead we used berzelia with ivy leaves, ivy berries and willow branches for the table arrangements.leather handbags

We also made some moustaches for the guests to use in the photobooth. We got a chalkboard and some other props for the guests to use too, like a wig, feather boa and silly glasses – we got some great photos! We hadn’t really thought about it at the time, but as it turns out there was a bit of a “Mo” theme to the wedding. We had all Motown music for our processional, recessional, first dance and cake-cutting songs, and our wedding was in November. There’s a fundraiser each November called “Movember”, which is a moustache growing charity event to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – particularly prostate cancer and depression. Both Tim and I have family members who have been affected by these, so all the moustaches in the photobooth were quite fitting.handbag

Above all, we really wanted to create an event where all our guests could just have a great time, and I think we managed to achieve that!handbags

With the help of Paris-based event planner Kim Peyt from Parisian Events, we secured a location in Paris that happened to quite spacious (a rare find in any city, especially a European one) AND include a roof deck with the most incredible view of the Eiffel Tower. Clearly, the best location for Candice and Kim to set up our reception table and details, all of which came together to really set the tone for the day. From the textured linens to the paper flowers and formal place settings it all seemed as each piece had been made to go together. While the table was being decorated, our bride was being styled by Beth from The White Dress by the Shore who created a look that was absolutely perfect for Paris – a stunning Modern Trousseau gown, dramatic veils and loads of coffee cup

The inspiration for our shoot came from a photograph that Robert and Kathleen took on one of their first trips to Paris of a man sitting outside a newspaper stand reading with his two dogs. I loved feeling of the black and white photograph and used it in our inspiration board as a source for the color palette. We decided to do a lot of monotone colors that would feel black and white in color. The inspiration for the tablescape, linens, flowers, and paper was all developed from our own experience of Paris and the fashion inspired inspiration board we developed! Lace heavily inspired me, which can be seen in the linens on the table and the beautiful lace paper by kate’s paperie.cannon mugs

Joey and Jessica of (you guessed it) Joey and Jessica Weddings sent us this next little gem of a wedding. And it’s making me miss my Southern roots that much more. Sweet tea, shrimp and grits and a fresh from the garden style. Yep, total perfection. Oh and the bride just might have the best wedding hair on the planet. I would describe David and my wedding as Southern with vintage appeal. During the planning process I pictured something laid back and relaxed but also elegant and charming. St. Luke’s Chapel and The Wickliffe House in Charleston, SC offered both. I wanted the wedding party attire to be simple but also go along with the theme.dicount evening dresses

First, and most importantly, you need to match your dress to the rest of the wedding details and theme. For example, if you are having an outdoor wedding in the middle of a garden or a park, then you do not want to purchase a long-sleeved wedding dress with a lengthy train. It will definitely look out of place. You will want to pick out a stunning, short-sleeved dress that is much shorter in length and fits in with the surroundings of the location and season. Additionally, if you have chosen a specific color scheme for the wedding then you will want to make sure that your wedding dress matches as well.

These days, sweetheart wedding dress are available in a variety of colors including red, black, ivory, gold and even silver. It's important to choose the right color for your wedding gown. If the color does not match the theme, your guests will definitely notice. Safe wedding dress colors include ivory, white and cream. These colors will compliment any color you choose for the decor and the bridesmaids' dresses. Colors you should avoid when it comes to choosing a china wedding dress include black and gray, because they tend to be associated with depressing occasions and moods. You want your wedding day to be a happy and joyous event, so if you want to add color to your wedding dress choose something that is upbeat and happy. You can also match colors to the season, such as silver for winter or even a pale pink for spring. In the fall, brides normally incorporate fall colors, such as browns, reds and burnt oranges.Cheap prom dress are a very popular selection for fall weddings. And in the summer, almost anything goes. Many outdoor weddings during the summer months tend to incorporate earthy colors, such as greens, mud-browns, and maroon. There are many different color options and schemes to choose from. The key is matching the color to the season, to the theme of the wedding, and to your personality.
